James Bond
Chief Technologist
James Bond is a Chief Technologist providing hybrid IT transformation strategy and solution architecture for customers in North America.  James serves as a trusted advisor to educate customers and industry on the transition from traditional IT to hyperconverged and composable infrastructures, private, and public cloud.  He is a hybrid IT subject matter expert, published author, and speaker at numerous customer and industry conferences.

With more than 28 years of experience in public and private sectors, Bond was an early pioneer in the design and deployment of Infrastructure, Software, and Platform as a Service offerings—long before the term cloud computing was coined.  His background in data centers, LAN/WAN systems design, software development, and ISP/ASP management were precursors to his current focus on cloud computing.  Bond is well known in the industry and within HPE as an expert resource of real-world cloud design, deployment, and best practices having successfully deployed cloud environments for some of the largest U.S. Government customers.

Before joining HPE, Bond was a Vice President with Apptix, a leading commercial Software as a Service provider, where he architected and managed some of the largest SaaS deployments in the United States.  Past industry experience includes Chief Technology Officer for IceWEB, Vice President of SteelCloud, and technical positions with Electronic Data Systems, Computer Sciences Corporation, and Computer Data Systems.

Bond holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Maryland.  He is also a Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP).  Bond authors numerous technical white papers and has published a 2015 book entitled “The Enterprise Cloud: Best Practices for Transforming Legacy IT” with specific focus on hybrid IT, apps transformation, operations, cloud brokering, and cloud security.
Judy Spitz
Founding Program Director
Initiative for Women in Technology and Entrepreneurship in New York at Cornell Tech
Judith Spitz, Ph.D. is currently the Founding Program Director of the Initiative for Women in Technology and Entrepreneurship in New York (WiTNY) at Cornell Tech; a partnership between Cornell Tech, the City University of New York and a growing list of corporate partners with a mission to facilitate, encourage and enable a significant increase in the participation of women in both higher education and entrepreneurship in fields related to technology in the New York market. She is also a member of the Advisory Board of ASAPP, an Artificial Intelligent company that drives digital transformation in customer care.

Prior to this, Spitz was CIO and senior vice president for Verizon’s Global IT Strategy and Planning and was responsible for developing IT-enabled business and technology strategies to drive competitive advantage in the marketplace, process and technology transformation, and for integration with corporate strategy and product development.

From 2006 to 2011, Spitz served as senior vice president and CIO for the enterprise and wholesale division of Verizon where she was responsible for the design, delivery, and management of all enterprise and wholesale operations and business support systems, product development, and production support on a global basis and for the systems integration resulting from the merger between MCI and Verizon.

Between 2002 and 2005, Spitz served as senior vice president for network and national operations systems where she delivered the suite of systems that enabled Verizon to launch its high-speed, residential fiber optic service (FiOS).

Spitz began her career in the telecommunications industry as a member of the technical staff and then as technical director of a speech technology group as part of an Artificial Intelligence Lab where she delivered advanced call center automation platforms. The New York Business Journal listed her as one of its 2018 Women of Influence. In 2017, she received the Above & Beyond Award for Outstanding Women in Business from City & State New York. In 2012 she received the Leadership and Service in Technology award from PACE University and the Purchase College Entrepreneurship Award. InfoWorld named her as a 2009 CTO 25 award winner. magazine put her on its CIO 100 Honoree list in 2007.

Erwin Visser

Erwin Visser is Sr. Director in the US Intelligent Cloud team, leading the Intelligent Cloud partner strategy as well as Azure new business. Key focus area for Erwin is to empower Microsoft partners in the US to digitally transform their customers with Cloud solutions and services.

Prior to his current role, Erwin Visser was the General Manager for Enterprise & Industry Marketing, responsible for leading the marketing strategy for the enterprise segment across commercial and public-sector customers worldwide. Before that, Erwin Visser was responsible for the worldwide commercial strategy and marketing of Windows, including the Windows client operating system as well as Windows Phone devices.

In 2006, Visser transitioned to Microsoft Corporate in Redmond from Microsoft BV in the Netherlands, where he led the Microsoft subsidiary marketing organization as a member of the Dutch leadership team. Prior to this role, Visser worked in different sales, marketing and technical pre-sales roles at Microsoft.

Visser began his career working for a Dutch system integrator in various software development projects. He holds a master’s in computer science and a bachelor’s in mathematics from the University of Amsterdam.

David Cope

David Cope is Senior Director of Cloud Products and Solutions Market Development for Cisco’s Cloud Platform and Solutions Group, where he is responsible for go-to-market and business strategies for Cisco’s cloud offerings. For more than 25 years, Cope has been developing innovative technologies and spearheading fast-growth technology companies. Prior to Cisco, Cope was the executive vice president of corporate development and CMO for CliQr, which was acquired by Cisco in April 2016. Before CliQr, Cope held CEO and other executive positions at Purfresh, BizGenics, Extricity, Illusta and IBM. Cope is the inventor on multiple technology patents, which have won prestigious recognition from Time Magazine’s “Time’s Best Innovations” and has been featured on high-profile broadcast channels including CNN, CNBC, Bloomberg and NBC Nightly News.
Adam Dennison

Adam Dennison brings more than 15 years of media sales experience to his role as Senior Vice President and Publisher, leading the integrated sales and events teams for CIO, CITEworld, Computerworld and Network World. In this role, Dennison oversees the brands go-to-market strategies, including brand positioning, market research and creating turnkey solutions for his clients. He also sits on the Executive Committee for IDG Enterprise. Dennison joined IDG in 2007 as National Sales Director for the Custom Solutions Group where he excelled in providing innovative marketing services.

A popular moderator, speaker and columnist, Dennison possesses an in-depth knowledge of emerging technologies and key strategies for marketing to IT decision-makers. David Pitak

Dave Pitak is the Manager of Infrastructure Services at the John G. Shedd Aquarium. Responsible for leading the technology infrastructure team, Dave also manages external infrastructure supporting resources as well. In his role, Dave led a complete datacenter and network hardware refresh, moving away from an aging infrastructure and setting a solid foundation for Shedd to lead and support more proactive endeavors. Starting from a standalone admin role with the organization, Dave has advanced and built an incredibly talented infrastructure team with a strong philosophy of thinking outside the constraints of any single tool or application.

Sandeep is the Vice President of System Engineering for the Americas at Nutanix. He joined Nutanix in 2014 and has held different roles such as Channel Partner & OEM SE Manager, Hosted POC Cloud team and Sr. SE Dir for the Western US. Sandeep works closely with the Nutanix sales teams to provide strategic pre-sales technical direction and provides prospective on the value Nutanix brings to customers bottom-line whilst sharing the Nutanix vision.

Prior to joining Nutanix, Sandeep held management roles at storage start-ups like LSI Logic, Tintri, Pernix Data and Data Domain (EMC) where he was an SE player/coach for over 10 years. Sandeep thrives on building teams that aim to be disruptors via integrity. Sandeep has over 20 years’ experience in the high-tech industry.

Rimpi Singh
American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU)
Rimpi Singh is the Chief Information Officer for the American Civil Liberties Union, where he is responsible for the operations of ACLU’s helpdesk, network, information security and cloud operations.  He is also a technical advisor for ACLU’s 54 affiliates.  In this role, Rimpi is on a two-year plan to reduce the organizations managed and professional services budget, improve end-user support, become more cloud nimble and upgrade the organizations infrastructure.
Ben Weiss

Ben Weiss is vice president of vertical markets for CDW. Weiss is responsible for the go-to-market strategy, sales growth and expansion of partner relationships for the financial services and nonprofit markets.

Since joining CDW in 1999, Weiss has served in sales leadership for many different parts of the organization, including higher education, K-12 education, state and local government, and enterprise corporate customers in the southeastern United States.

Weiss earned a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a master’s degree in business administration concentrating on business management from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. Weiss serves on the executive board for Bright Pink, a nonprofit organization focused on saving women’s lives from breast and ovarian cancer.
Bryan Yamanaka

Bryan Yamanaka is the Director of Technical Operations at Zipwhip, where he is responsible for leading the Infrastructure and platform engineering group. In this role, Bryan has successfully led the strategy for cloud adoption and transforming Zipwhip's text messaging platform by introducing automation, open source tools, and enterprise security best practices.
