Amanda Blevins
Sr. Director and Chief Technologist, Office of the CTO
VMware
Amanda Blevins is a Sr. Director and Chief Technologist in the Office of the CTO at VMware. She enables customers and partners to achieve their business objectives by co-creating a comprehensive technology strategy with executive leaders. She focuses on cloud, edge, and emerging technologies. Amanda collaborates with VMware’s R&D business units to ensure VMware’s portfolio meets the strategic needs of our customers and the industry. She is passionate about innovation and enabling cross-functional teams to be successful in their creative efforts. Amanda leads the Office of the CTO Global Field Programs that develop technical talent and provides program members the opportunity to participate in Office of the CTO projects and initiatives.

Amanda has been in the IT field for over 25 years in various infrastructure operations and architecture roles throughout her career. She joined VMware as a Sr. Systems Engineer in 2010. She became VMware’s first female Principal Systems Engineer a few years later. As VMware’s first and only female Chief Technologist, she leverages her experience and network to drive awareness and equality for women and all underrepresented people in technology fields. Most importantly, Amanda believes in "Doing the Right Thing"
 
Carlos de Torres
VP, CDS North America Device Sales
Microsoft
Carlos de Torres is the VP of CDS North America Device Sales within Microsoft. He leads a team across Sales and Product Category, working with OEMs (MNAs, NA and SB) and Channel Partners throughout the United States and Canada. This team drives new customer experiences and co-creates new business opportunities around Windows devices in a multi-billion-dollar market. 

As a member of the Microsoft family since 2010, Carlos has worked for Microsoft in Spain, Canada and the United States. Carlos brings diverse business experience in the OEM, Advertising & Online, and the US Channel segments. He was formerly the GM of the US Hosting & Cloud Services (US HCS) division, where he managed a +$1B business, playing a key role driving the cloud transformation and ensuring strong cross-group collaboration across customer segments and business groups. Prior to coming to the US, Carlos was the Canada VP, Advertising and Online, and the OEM Lead for Microsoft in Spain, his country of origin.

Prior to Microsoft, Carlos held several senior manager roles at Telefonica for almost 10 years, where he led the successful development of the retail and SMB sales forces. As an entrepreneur, Carlos has been involved in several projects across Europe. Carlos has a degree in Computer Science Engineering and an MBA from IESE.

Carlos resides in the Pacific Northwest with his wife, Carol, and two children.  He is deeply involved in the community, developing better education through the integration of technology into the learning process.  Carlos is passionate for architecture and interior design, skiing, sailing and simply enjoying time together with family and friends.

 
 
Adam Dennison

Adam Dennison brings more than 20 years of media, events and technology marketplace experience to his role as Senior Vice President/General Manager, IDG Events & Publisher, CIO. In this unique role, Dennison oversees the teams responsible for creating engagement points with tech executives through events and community. The IDG events portfolio builds relationships between tech executives and tech vendors through face to face events. Additionally, Dennison plays a strategic role for the CIO brand, establishing the go-to-market strategy, including brand positioning, market research and creating turnkey solutions for his clients. A popular moderator, speaker and columnist, Dennison possesses an in-depth knowledge of emerging technologies and key strategies for marketing to IT decision-makers. Dennison joined IDG in 2007 as National Sales Director for the Custom Solutions Group where he excelled in providing innovative marketing services.
 
Lisa Gau
VP, Corporate Sales, East Region
CDW
Lisa Gau is vice president of corporate sales, East region for CDW. Gau is responsible for the short- and long-term performance goals, strategic direction, business initiatives and talent development of the segment.

Gau joined CDW in 1999 as an account manager. In 2003, she moved up to the position of field account executive, and in 2006, she became a district sales manager. In 2014, Gau took on the role of area sales director, and in January 2017, she became director of strategic initiatives. She assumed her current role in January 2018.

Gau earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing and international business from Miami University. She serves on the board of directors for CDW’s Women’s Opportunity Network.
 
Dan O'Brien

Dan is a Dell Technologies veteran with 18 years’ experience across product engineering, strategy and Presales. He currently serves as Sr. Vice President of North America Presales.

In this role, he leads an organization of approximately 1,900 account systems engineers aligned to our North America Strategic and Public-sector customers. These team members engage with strategic customers to discover business challenges and leverage the Dell EMC portfolio to provide differentiated solutions. Dan has designed the account systems engineering team to provide Dell EMC portfolio expertise around key industries, IT and digital transformation, cloud operating models and operations. He’s created a customer engagement process that is centered on consultative assessments to create long-term strategic roadmaps to help customers achieve their business and technology goals.

In addition to leading the Presales team, Dan is responsible for the technical go-to-market (GTM) strategy for the Commercial Sales organization. This includes understanding market opportunities, influencing product roadmaps and ensuring that we have the right organizational structure to best align with our customer’s needs. Dan also meets with customers across North America, Latin America, Europe, Middle-East, Africa, Asia Pacific, Japan and Greater China to better understand their unique technical and business challenges and collaborates with them on how to best leverage the Dell Technologies portfolio to enable IT transformation in a multi-cloud world.
When he started at EMC, Dan spent four years in Symmetrix Engineering where he was responsible for the design and qualification of many different enterprise storage components. He spent the next eight years holding various individual contributor and leadership Presales positions working with customers across many different verticals including financial, legal, healthcare and manufacturing. During this time, he specialized in Dell EMC solutions related to virtualization, Microsoft, Oracle and various enterprise applications. Dan then moved to a corporate role for three years to help shape our technical GTM strategy where he aligned our portfolio of products and solutions to the needs of our customers.

Dan holds a bachelor’s in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

His skill set and experience have spanned the gamut of functional roles; as a former CMO, CPO and Engineering executive, Mike has in-depth knowledge of operational and financial practices as well as how to take innovation from idea through market introduction.
